Shorelines Tour Sunday May 11, 2008, 8:00 AM to
12:30 PM In 2008, a little bit FASTER
Join us again this year for the 2008 Seattle Shorelines Tour. This is
a half day, short distance drive along Seattle’s urban shorelines. Meet
at Jim & Carol Sanders’ house 8:00 to 9:00 AM for Starbucks and
breakfast "rolls" before the start at 9.When arriving for the tour, park
your MG in a line up on 37th Avenue near Marion Street Public
Stairway.Walk up the Marion Street public stair to Jim & Carol’s
house at 3618 East Marion.The British flags will be flying.Finish
the tour with lunch at aSeattle waterfront restaurant.
Directions to Jim & Carol’s house:
From I5 Freeway in Downtown Seattle. Take James Street
east. James becomes Cherry Street. Continue east on Cherry
to 37th Avenue. (Cherry Street ends and you can see
Lake Washington) Turn left (north) on 37th. Continue 2
blocks to Marion and 37th Avenue.
From Highway 520 crossing Lake Washington Take 520 Lake
Washington Arboretum Exit At the end of off ramp, turn left on
Lake Washington Blvd., go south thru the Arboretum, continue Lake
Washington Blvd to Madrona Drive at the lake. Turn right on
Madrona Drive, it changes to 34th going south,
Turn left (east) on Cherry, Turn left (north) on 37th
Ave to intersection of Marion & 37thAvenue.
From I90 from Bellevue crossing Lake Washington
Take Rainier Ave Exit North to 14th &
Jackson. Continue north on 14th to Cherry.
Turn right (east) on Cherry Street.Continue east on Cherry
to 37th Avenue. (Cherry Street ends and you can see
Lake Washington) Turn left (north) on 37th. Continue 2
blocks to Marion and 37th Avenue. Park near
the intersection of Marion & 37th Ave. Walk up the
public stair to Jim & Carol’s house.
