August 3 Hot Rods For Heroes

This is a small relaxed annual car show in DuPont sponsored by the Patriots Landing Retirement Community for their guests.

The hours are 10:30 am-2:30 pm on Saturday, August 3rd.   I would suggest getting their a little early.  There usually is a breakfast bar in the morning. (More details to come on the event schedule as they are released)

There are several food trucks at the event in addition to live music, beer garden, gift bags, and more.  There is no entry fee to attend.

August 3 Gig Harbor Car Show

This is the annual charity car show at Uptown Gig Harbor sponsored by the Gig Harbor Cruisers car club. 

The hours are 8:00 am-3:00 pm on Saturday, August 3rd

There are restaurants, ice cream and, most importantly, espresso nearby.  The sponsors are going to try to reserve a parking area for our club, as they did last year. 

The $20 entry fee is paid on arrival in the under ground parking lot for Multi-Care. 

Plan on being to the event by 8:00.  This year we will not meet as a group to drive into the event together.  Drive to the event and look for the club’s parking area.  Tyee Triumph Club is being invited to park with us if they do not have their own parking area.

August 4 Seafair Car Show

Registration for the Seafair car show has finally  opened!  It a great show to attend with the Blue Angles flying and other aircraft demonstrating their abilities as well.


Not to mention the main attraction of the current turbine powered hydros and the old school piston hydros.  And don’t forget all the food and the pits! 
You get to park your car on Lake Washington Blvd. essentially across the street from the pits.

The cost is $40 and there are only 100 slots available per day. That $40 will get you your parking place, entrance to the races and entrance to the pits along with all the other attractions for two people.The club is planning on attending the Sunday, August 4 show.

August 17 Horse Racing at Emerald Downs

Come join the fun with other club members and friends at the horse race at Emerald Downs. 

The event will start with breakfast at Trotters Restaurant in Auburn (see flyer for address). 

On this day, Emerald Downs will also feature dinosaur races in addition to the horse races! 

The group will also be able to take a winner’s circle picture for one of the races. 

This should be fun to watch and yes, you can register to run with the dinosaurs if you are so inclined.

October 5-6 Pt Townsend and Whidbey Island Tour

Come join the fun as we embark on a grand weekend adventure. On Saturday, we will travel North to Port Townsend and enjoy the sights and sounds of Port Townsend, the Kinetic Sculptures Race, and the Ft.Warden area before dining at Doc’s Marina in Port Townsend.

 On Sunday, we will take the ferry to Whidbey Island where a telephone scavenger hunt will take place. Confused?  Don’t be, the rules for the scavenger hunt will be explained on site Sunday morning once the ferry has landed.  A cell phone that takes pictures is a requirement for this event.

We will wrap up our trip at the Tap Room Bayview Corner on Whidbey Island for awards, lunch and fun!

October 13 Annual General Membership Meeting

Come join fellow club members at the annual General Membership meeting at Ivar’s Salmon House on Lake Union  The starting time is 12:00

Awards, election results will be announced, and balloting on the proposed bylaws revisions will conducted in addition to a brief club annual report
And don’t forget about the silent auctions and dessert dash to top things off!
